ENVELOPES
The Envelope – A Work of Art in Itself
The envelope is not just a covering for the invitation but, more importantly, an element that enhances the invitation.
THE FLAPS OF THE ENVELOPES
I enjoy decorating the flaps of envelopes with wreaths or letterpress monograms, with metallic foil or without it, by blind debossing (the design is pressed into the paper without foil or color). These inscriptions are made by applying specially crafted metal dies to a thermal press that deeply imprints the design into the paper. The visual and tactile effect is delightful.
You can choose from one of the wreaths in our collection, or we can use a unique die customized with your initials (made by order), as seen in the images attached.
The thickness and porous texture of the envelopes made from handmade paper allow the die design to be deeply pressed, leaving a distinctive tactile impression with a beautifully unique effect.

THE ENVELOPE LINER
Inside the envelopes, we can apply a liner featuring a painting, an illustration of the event location, a map, an abstract pattern, or anything else that beautifies and complements the invitation.
ENVELOPE FINISHES
The finishes of the envelopes are very important. As seen in the images attached, the envelopes feature rounded outer corners and cut inner corners, with the interior cutouts manually shaped with round edges. Cardboard envelopes are sealed with double-sided tape, while handmade paper envelopes are sealed with silicone for better durability. For vellum (transparent) envelopes, we use only double-sided tape, which ensures they look impeccable.

TYPES OF ENVELOPES
The envelopes I create are made from the finest quality cardboard or handmade paper.
HANDMADE PAPER ENVELOPES
Handmade paper envelopes are crafted with great care, by pouring paper pulp into molds. The process of making handmade paper envelopes continues with drying, pressing, and gluing. These envelopes require more time to produce, as all necessary steps must be followed, from cellulose to finished product: preparing the paper pulp, pouring it into special molds, drying, pressing, and gluing. The resulting envelope has a very pleasant texture, providing a unique sensory experience that makes this meticulous process worthwhile.

HANDMADE CARDSTOCK ENVELOPES
Our handmade envelopes are made from the highest quality cardstocks (with grammages ranging from 160g to 260g), ensuring that they look great and can be folded without creating unsightly creases. The thickness of the envelope should not be overlooked, as it is as important as the thickness of the invitation itself. A thin envelope can give the invitation a “cheap” appearance.
We have a vast range of colors and textures available, even though only a few examples are presented on the website. We can create square or rectangular envelopes (13×18 cm / 11×16 cm). Please consult the available color palette in the COLLECTION GUIDE.
